Working in a domestic kitchen will require you to be resourceful, discrete, efficient and flexible. You’ll need to be able to menu plan for specific locations, styles and situations, making the most of seasonal, local ingredients. There may be special dietary requirements to take into account and you’ll need knowledge of cooking on specific types of equipment – for example, an Aga.
You may be required to work within a budget so intelligent shopping is a must.
